Side Tab

An extension for the Epiphany GNOME web browser

Do you love Epiphany but feel limited by the number of tabs you can handle at once without shrinking them into oblivion? This very simple extension allows you to display your tabs on the left side of your browser window. To install it, just extract the archive to ~/.gnome2/epiphany/extensions (create the extensions folder if it does not exist).

Side Tab

I want numbers!

A regular Epiphany tab is roughly 165x30 pixels.

Let's say you have 1000² pixels of webpage space. Whereas you could fit 6 tabs horizontally, this extension will allow you to fit 33 tabs vertically! Of course, this is only theoretical and does not take into account toolbar heights, reduced webpage width [less important with widescreen monitors], increased risks of out-of-memory-kernel-panic, etc.
